Learn to Lift


Gyms can be intimidating places even for those of us who are highly trained. This is one of the reasons our Private Studio is so popular with clients, as it makes the ideal place to learn and hone your technique when setting out in the world of weight lifting. We start with a series of movement screening and initial fitness testing to assess where is the best place to start. We select the 4-5 lifts you would like to learn first and set to work teaching you everything needed to lift like a pro. Common lifts and Olympic lifts we teach: Bench Press, Bent Over Row, Deadlifts, Romanian Deadlifts, Back Squats, Front Squats, Clean, Clean & Jerk, and a host of variations with the Dumbbells and Kettlebells.

Is This Program Right For You?

This program is perfect for both men and women who want to learn the skills to lift safely and with correct form. No prior knowledge is required and this can be an excellent way of learning how to take these lifts back into your local gym and incorporate them into your training. Some preexisting injuries may prevent learning some lifts but please get in touch to discuss your specific needs and how we can tailor a program to help.


How Hard Is The Learn To Lift Program?: This is an intermediate program best suited to those who have been exercising regularly for 12-18 months or more (ideally).
Can I Train Online? : No, this is a hands on 1-2-1 guided coaching program
How Long is the Learn to Lift Program : Depending on your starting point we aim to teach and hone 4-5 lifts over a 12 week period. Many will train beyond this.
